Yeah nothing happened this Halloween. I had to watch Shrek the Musical for my dance class so I was held up doing that. Some guy sat next to me because he was also in Dance, complained about how he didn’t understand anything, and left before the show started. He then came back during intermission, and once again complained that he didn't understand anything. I don't know man MAYBE IF YOU WATCHED THE DAMN PERFORMANCE. Then he left again and didn't come back until the end of the show. He smelled sour so I wasn't complaining.

Onto more important news, my quest for friendship has reached a tiny lil road block after some crazy progression. Flashback to a week ago…

So let's lay down the timeline. We got the man JUST READ THE PRIOR LOGS. I mentioned how these guys (I'll call em the Mystery Gang, for reasons I'll expand upon later) the Mystery Gang were actually participating in an animation jam. So when the day came for everyone to show off their animations, they were obviously there. Honestly I talked to a bunch of people at this event and realized how…similar they are to me. Like I could talk all about the animation and blender and DaVinci Resolve and my hatred for adobe that I never got the chance to back in high school. And these guys are more than happy to talk because well uh no offense to animators as I am one, but they're kinda a bunch of socially anxious neurodivergent introverts. Though I mean that with no offense because I've well established that I consider these guys "my people". What does that say about me? Watch the video puta.

I'm not as glad as I thought I would be though, which is yet another point I'll expand on later. Or if you watched the video then you'll already know why I don't actively seek out people who are just like me fr maybe you should WATCH THE VIDEO WATCH THE VIDEO WATCH THE VIDEOOOOO

Anyway. I hit up the Mystery Gang at the end of the event to give my compliments, awkwardly stand there for like 2 minutes while they talk amongst themselves, realize that I am NOT a part of the gang bromosome crying emoji crying emoji prayer emoji skull emoji, and then start to talk to everyone else at the function. I was waiting for another opportunity for me to hop into the convo they were having, but then they start to LEAVE. Right when I was in the middle of a real chill conversation about Sonic, too. Now I wasn't about to be a complete fan and end the convo early so I could once again awkwardly talk to 'em, so I mentally cut my losses and just enjoyed the vibes. Damn it man. So freaking close. Whatever.

…then I walk out the door and see that for some weird ass reason, they were in complete stasis right outside the class. Probably just messing around but bro. Like bro. This was some chaos control type stuff. Za Worldo Type stuff. aight I'm done with the cringe references and the constant bait and switches they getting old fast.

I easily catch up with 'em and unironically say "yo guys stop moving so fast I'm tryna walk within earshot distance so I can pretend that I'm part of the conversation" or something similar to that. I am the antithesis of nonchalantness; a complete open door. I know it seems that I'm scheming out here tryna manipulate behind the scenes but I explain my behavior IRL the same way I do on this website. What do I got to lose at this point man.

Guess they found it funny or something because they're chill with me clumsily tailing them from behind. Awesome. Saw an opportunity, and took it. That's how it be.

Now there were two new people on top of Ari and Comical. I'll call one Tucker2, because he is a shorter 1 to 1 replica of my friend Tucker that I have actually written about before but I never uh released the entries where I talked about him. Yes, I got unreleased music out here too prepare for random ass instagram stories with snippets of songs of which my pretentious ass fans will claim as their "favorite". VAMP NATION.

The other I'll call…Cod. Yes. Cod. God I have to start making comics again so I can put a face to all these characters. Trust, come New Year this website will have my COMPLETE attention. Anyway, it's me, Ari, Comical, Tucker2, and Cod, all standing in front of this doodle board (we're in the animation building so no surprise). I talk to these guys about Deltarune (yes I am into Deltarune now you gotta do what you gotta do I'm sorry) and have a real nice 1on1 convo with Tucker2 about video games. Tucker would love this guy oh my god. Ari disappears to go back to his apartment, which is a damn shame. But the rest of the Mystery Gang is gonna go out to eat and I GET TO TAG ALONG!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!

I instantly go into spectator mode. Tryna get an idea of the group dynamics. Note to future me who is obviously best friends with these guys now and is probably showing them these logs, THESE WERE MY INITIAL PREDICTIONS SO NO JUDGEMENT!!! All of them are very referential, in a chronically online way but also in a general pop culture way. Like "yo it's that one song from that one movie" but I can also say "friendslop" and they'll get it instantly. Tucker2 leans towards general pop culture, the other two lean towards chronically online. Honestly, they're kind of losers too. Like we're the same level on the social totem pole. They have all the interests of the alternative people (that I still despise), but without all the pretentiousness and social validation the alt people (I freaking hate) get. Tucker2 and Comical are dating, but they're not too showy about it. And that's basically it I thought I was gonna be like Light Yagami up in here damn.

But MAN did we have a good time. Pulled up to Taco Bell, had a nasty ass baja blast, and just joked around. Ima be real I was kinda of friend baiting the whole time. Like they'll ask me for my opinion about what we should do and I'll be like "I'm just a spectator man" so they'll say "nah bru you part of the group" you know I'm a lil bit of a trickster hehehe.

Cod gives ME his instagram. And Comical tells me that I should pull up to this "Halloween Gala" happening next week. GEE WHIZ!! While walking back to our dorms, Tucker2 even offers me HIS INSTA, but I say some bs like "Cod already got it type shiiii type shiii, just scroll through his following list and you'll know which one is me. Oop, didn't mean to shake my dreads haha type shiiiii" bro I got an anonymous account what was I on about whatever (wait I actually do have my name on my account. Unintentionally right I guess).

We go our separate ways and I actually have to resist the urge to start laughing like an evil maniac. It all went ACCORDING TO PLAN MUAHAHAHAHAHA yeah nah I just got lucky once again. I was all giddy man I could see the relationship meter filling up like some dating sim. All I had to do was wait for the Halloween Gala… which I'll talk about in the next log this one already getting too long soz man.
